Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Clearly Answered.

At Conley Capital Management, we believe in trust, integrity, and empowering you with clarity every step of the way. Below are answers to the most common questions we receive about our firm, our process, and what you can expect.

About Conley Capital Management

Think of your financial life like building a custom home—you don’t want shortcuts, generic blueprints, or someone just selling materials. You want a master builder who knows how to design every detail to fit your vision and protect what matters most.

At Conley Capital Management, we bring deep industry experience, advanced credentials like the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) designation, and a comprehensive planning approach that covers your entire financial “foundation”—from investments and taxes to retirement, estate planning, and legacy goals.

We’re also fee-only and fiduciary, meaning we don’t sell products or earn commissions. Our only priority is helping you build and protect the financial life you’ve imagined—with no hidden agendas and no structural weaknesses.

The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) designation is considered the gold standard in financial planning. CFP® professionals must meet rigorous education, examination, experience, and ethical requirements. They’re trained to provide truly comprehensive advice—including investments, taxes, estate planning, insurance, and retirement strategies.

Unlike some financial advisors who may focus only on selling products or managing investments, CFP® professionals take a holistic, fiduciary approach. They’re also required to act in your best interest—always.

When you work with Conley Capital Management, you benefit from advanced industry expertise, deep planning knowledge, and a commitment to your full financial picture—not just one piece of it.

A fiduciary is a financial professional who is legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest at all times. This means providing advice that is free from conflicts of interest, transparent in cost and process, and solely focused on helping you achieve your financial goals.

At Conley Capital Management, acting as a fiduciary is more than a regulatory requirement—it’s the foundation of our relationship with every client. You can trust that recommendations are based on what we believe best serves your unique needs, not on commissions or outside incentives.

We specialize in working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners seeking personalized, attentive, long-term financial guidance.

Working with Us

We start with an introductory meeting to understand your needs. From there, we follow a structured onboarding process that includes:

  1. Discovery & Goal Setting
  2. Data Collection & Analysis
  3. Personalized Financial Plan Development
  4. Implementation & Ongoing Monitoring

We operate on a fee-only basis. Our compensation structure will be clearly outlined during our initial meetings.

“Fee-only” means we are compensated solely by our clients for the advice and services we provide. We don’t receive commissions, referral fees, or any third-party incentives. This structure eliminates potential conflicts of interest and ensures our guidance is always based on what’s best for you—not on selling products. It’s one more way we uphold our fiduciary commitment to act in your best interest at all times.

While we do not publish strict minimums, our services are designed for individuals and families with complex financial needs, typically starting around $500,000 in investable assets.

Financial Planning & Strategy

We go beyond just investments. Our planning integrates retirement goals, tax strategies, estate considerations, risk management, and generational wealth—ensuring your entire financial house is aligned.

While investment management focuses solely on building and maintaining your investment portfolio, comprehensive planning goes much further. It includes planning for cash flow, debt, taxes, retirement, education, insurance, and estate needs—ensuring every financial decision aligns with your bigger picture.

We offer strategic tax planning in collaboration with your CPA or tax professional. We do not prepare or file tax returns directly.

Absolutely. We often coordinate with other professionals to ensure all aspects of your financial life are aligned and working toward your goals.
